Cheerful orange that eats grass
Unlike his other comrades
A colorful orange that calms the heart
Calls in purrs from afar
Waiting at the door
Wanting to be pet
Asking to be fed
Praying to be let
With his master he sat
He was the cat that once was
And that day we were rushing off
Though he called his last calls
A voice of deep distress
Only to get a scold
So he gave me the dying eyes
The same eyes like those before and after
Saying goodbyes
And he left as a cat that once was
The jewel of this house
Waiting in the higher heaven
